Today he decided to climb into Jude's kennel, and brought a toy with. And continued to climb in and out and in and out for probably 20 minutes. Open the kennel door, close the door, open the door, close the door. Jude would think about going in and Luca would shut the door on him.
He has 6(ish) teeth, two in the front on the top and bottom, and the two on either side of the top are about half through. The ones on either side of the bottom are just starting to poke through, and you can feel his bottom molars under his gums.
He takes 4 or 5 steps by himself, and I'm pretty sure he could do more. He much prefers to walk holding on to one hand, or to scoot around.
He likes to give Jude kisses, which is unfortunate since he's allergic to him. And I'm not sure how much Jude likes being all wet...
He forgot how to say "up" for a while because I tried to teach him to say "up mama." But he's back to it now, and even get's the "p" sound pretty good. He says mama and da consistently. He also I swear says "ah-x" for Alex, and a sort of a "gram" for Grandma and Grandpa.
He says "arf" for puppy sounds. He doesn't bark, he says the word "arf" He also makes fishy faces, sort of sucks in his breath for a monkey, and roars (very quietly) for just about every other animal.
He gets very, very excited when he sees animals, including bunnies in the back yard, or youtube videos of puppies. This one is his current favorite.
He has recently decided he doesn't need an afternoon nap, but unfortunately has also decided that he doesn't need to lengthen his morning nap to make up for it. So starting at about 5pm we have one cranky kid. Generally, though, he has the sweetest attitude and flirts with everyone.
He is not so much of a climber (thank goodness) but he opens everything he possibly can. If it has a knob, he opens it. And plays with the stuff inside.
When I weighed him a couple days ago, he tipped the scales at 20.9 lbs. Which I think leaves him squarely in the <5% range. He still wears 9 mo pants. My little guy really is little.
It's my home now, Jude! |
