Playing in the snow

We've tried to explain to Luca that it's just too cold to play outside. I told him that it's colder than where Santa lives. I told him that it's colder than the freezer. He would not be swayed. Little man was just desperate to go outside and play in the snow. So I suggested that Josh bring in a bucket of snow and put out a cookie sheet and a bunch of towels and let him play in the kitchen. Josh did one better...

A long rubbermaid full of snow!

Needless to say, Luca was elated. We love the Duck and Goose books, and in one of them they make a snow goose. So Luca asked Josh to make one. He also made a snow man. He had straw arms and chocolate chip eyes but Jude wouldn't leave him alone, so his face became just indents.

He pulled out nearly everything in his kitchen, plus some tools from the sand table, and played for over an hour. It was a hit!
