A Year and a half!

Just like that, 18 months have gone by. Unbelievable. It's been a big month for the little man!

He is officially a walker. He only scoots if he's picking up a couple things (like acorns) and the up down up down is inefficient. I assume that he's thought out that line of logic, anyway.
His vocab grew a lot in the last month. He now says up, mommom, da, alex, shoe, off, nigh-night, Jude, sit, 'scuse (for "excuse me"), ball, and a couple days ago added "more." Random assortment... I'm trying to teach him to say "treat" so we're ready for Halloween =)
When we're eating if you say "Cheers" he will raise his cup to clink with ours. Again and again. He really likes that one.
We don't really watch TV, but I did get Disney's Earth and Chimpanzee movies and he really likes them (for about 5-10 minutes at a time). He'll point the PlayStation controller at the TV (we use the PS3 as a DVD player) and make monkey noises when he wants to watch the Chimpanzee movie. Clever, that one =)
For a snack I often give him goldfish, and he makes fishy noises whenever I say fish. So now when he's hungry he makes fishy noises. I'm an accidental Pavlov... He also noticed that they are kept in the pantry, so he tries to open the doors and take them off the shelf, all while making fishy noises. At my mom's the doors are levers instead of knobs, so he can open her pantry door. I turn around for a second and next thing I know he's got the bag with the clip off making fishy noises and pointing to a bowl.
His 18 month doctor's appointment is next week, so I don't know the official numbers, but when I weighed him a couple days ago he was 22.9 pounds. Still growing, I think now he's at the average weight of about an 11 month old. Little man is still in his infant car seat and only just recently outgrew the 12 month onesies (for length) but is still comfortably in 9 month pants.
All 8 of his front teeth are in (four top and four bottom) and all four of the first molars are poking through. We had a miserable couple weeks, but pretty much back to normal now.
He has a new noise. He made it in the car one day and I thought it sounded like a dragon. So for the next day or so if you asked him what a dragon said he made that noise. But then he started making it all the time, and in different ways. He calls for me with the voice (it's sort of a throaty growl), and he uses it to make chomping sounds. It's pretty darn funny!
He's got three basic dance moves and he'll dance to anything with a tune. This video is his favorite this morning (we watched it 12 times in a row.) He does the Starting the Lawn Mower move, where he swings his right arm in front of himself (looks like he's starting a mower). Then he's got the Hippie where he raises his arms high over his head and sort of snaps his fingers. And of course the standard White Boy Dance where he bounces up and down. He'll rotate through all three in any song. It's super cute.

And, just because it seems wrong to put up a post without something showing Luca, here's a video from dinner the other night. Josh blows over the top of the bottle making it whistle, and then Luca tries. And then he decides to make silly noises.
