Soaking up the end of Summer

Luca loves to be outside, and on days like today, we try to spend a lot of time there. So I brought out a picnic blanket and a stick of sidewalk chalk and knew we'd be good for a while. Luca colored on the patio for a little bit, and then moved on to coloring on the picnic table, lounge chair and himself.

Then he found the cherry pits that the birds left behind and started adding them to a bucket. And taking them out of the bucket and throwing them on the patio. And then getting them and putting them back in the bucket again. Little man is a busy busy fella.

Then he grabbed Jude's leash and went looking for the dog. Or anything to clip. He figured out that the end of it fits in the rain gauge and had fun dunking it in the gauge and then using it to make little water spots on the patio.

Looking for something to take on a walk.
Eventually he just wandered around the patio and yard, enjoying the weather and his new skill. It really was a pretty day, we went back out after dinner for a while too.

A good day =)
